The Maps: The maps are true 1:24,000 scale based on the USGS 7.5 minute quadrangles. The trails are from the Forest Service GIS database. The loop is shown in red. The yellow trail is the multi use Rainbow Trail, which is a necessary for many of the trails on the east side of the range. All other trails are blue. The green and black line is the wilderness boundary. The forest roads are in black and based on aerial and satellite imagery. The top map is of the general area, shows some other trip options and shows access roads. It is free to down load. Because of it's size, preprinted maps are not available. The bottom two maps are the east and west loop. These maps are FREE to download and print. Click on image to access full size maps and download them. They are formatted for printing on 11x17 paper. Alternatively, both maps are available on 11x17 Rite in the Rain weatherproof stock for $5/sheet ($10 for the set) plus S&H. Email cew5151@gmail.com. |
